About Us
Oriel Mimosa in Llandeilo was named after the tea clipper that heroically carried over 150 intrepid travellers from Wales to Patagonia in 1865. Our first gallery opened in August 2014 in Market St, Llandeilo with an interesting mix of Welsh antiques and art. We quickly outgrew this lovely little shop so we expanded, opening a second gallery in Rhosmaen St, next door to the prestigious Cawdor Hotel.
Llandeilo itself is a lovely town to visit, with numerous historical sites, beautiful walks and some great pubs and eateries to take advantage of. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our part of West Wales. Croeso cynnes i bawb – Hwyl, Wayne Jones
Our History
Wayne Jones, the owner of our gallery, has been an art collector for over 25 years and in particular a collector of work from Welsh artists. Our first shop was established in August 2014 and after a successful first year we expanded to include a second gallery, Oriel Mimosa Fine Art, which has now been open for just over 7 years.
